Qi Gong Meditation Classes

These are once weekly 50minute - 1 hour classes for those who wish to develop and maintain an effective Qi Gong and Qi meditation practice. Qi meditation is a particular form of meditation that uses as its main object the flow of energy or Qi within our body and being, thus combining benefits of meditation (inner peace and harmony) with the physiological health benefits of enhanced energy flow throuhg our body.

Meditations for Developing our Three Energy Bodies or Qi Bodies

Qi Gong outlines three basic energy bodies that we have and should try and nurture. Our vital body which maintains our physical health, our soul body which helps maintain our emotional and mental health, and our spiritual body which nurtures both mind and body, as well as giving insight and wisdom into the realities that lie behind the everyday world of form that we experience. We will be practising a very simple meditation form that will enable us to nurture these three bodies on an ongoing basis in our daily life.

General information on Qi Gong:
One of the most ancient and effective forms of preventative health care in the world today, qi-gong represents a series of invaluable breathing and movement exercises which can help our body and mind keep at peak energy levels in the face of today's demanding and stressful modern lifestyle and schedules.
Qi-Gong is the science of working with the body's energy field. Literally translated into English it means 'energy work', or 'energy skill'. In these classes we will be learninng the art of moving energy into and around our body using a series of simple and easy to apply techniques that will enable you to:

  • Re-establish your body's natural bio-rhythms
  • Harmonize your nervous and endocrine systems
  • Invigorate your body issue and organs with oxygen rich blood and vital energy
  • Clear stagnant energy from your system and help buld your energy fields to their optimum health levels!

About the Teacher:
Toby has been practicing and teaching meditation to a wide variety of audiences for over thirteen years, including five years as a Buddhist Monk.
