Traditional Tibetan Medicine (TTM) is a science and an art, dating back to antiquity; with a genesis, history, and development uniquely rooted in the Tibetan landscape, the indigenous culture, and the spirit of the Tibetan people. This living medical science and healing art has a unique interface with the modern western world.
Traditional Tibetan Medicine (TTM)
TTM is a natural and holistic medical science, which addresses the individual's needs of body, mind and spirit, in an integrated way. Although it is generally practised alongside the Buddhist philosophy, TTM contains a comprehensive philosophy, cosmology and system of subtle anatomy with associated spiritual practices in its own right.
This TTM program is based directly on the original root text of the Four Tantras. Completion of 4 levels of study gives the graduate a qualification equivalent to studying at the TTM college in Tibet. We are fortunate to be in partnership with the Tibetan Medicine Hospital in Amdo. This gives IATTM a wonderful resource; and the ability to offer the specialization internship module in the fourth level of this course in the Tibetan Medicine hospital in Tibet.
