Ku Nye - Traditional Tibetan Massage
Ku Nye forms part of the great wealth of external therapies available in TTM which are used to maintain or to restore balance to the organism. Literally, Ku means to anoint the body with therapeutic oils and Nye refers to the actual massage on muscles, tendons, channels and specific points. The final component of Ku Nye is Phyis (pronounced 'Chi') - which refers to the process of removing the oils from the skin. The rejuvenating and restorative functions of Ku Nye are mentioned in many original Tibetan texts including the rGyud bZhi (the Four Tantra of Tibetan Medicine), its commentaries and ancient medical manuscripts discovered in the Dun Huang caves. Some of the benefits include:  increased vitality, elimination of toxins stored in the body, alleviation of various type of pain, and the calming of nervous disorders including insomnia, depression and anxiety.
Basic format of course:
3 levels of study completed over 3 years, at a local venue.
Homework assignments of a practical nature are to be completed in between attending each subsequent level.
Tibetan Mantra Healing
 Tibetan Mantra Healing (TMH) is a powerful form of healing which utilises the energy of pure vibration - sound - to heal subtle energetic disturbance. In this way, we can treat the root cause of disorders and diseases, instead of simply treating the symptoms. TMH utilises ancient and secret mantras, sometimes encapsulating the essence of natural sound, and often using ancient words from the Sanskrit Tibetan languages. TMH can be used as a treatment on its own, or in conjunction with other treatment modalities. It is reputed to have profound effects in the treatment of chronic disease.
Basic format of course:
3 years of study and practice.

 Dr. Nida Chenagtsang
Dr. Nida Chenagtsang was born in Amdo, Tibet. He graduated with distinction from the Lhasa Tibetan Medical University, where he was awarded a Master Degree for his research on Ku Nye (Traditional Tibetan Massage) and for the rediscovery and revival of ancient external therapies. Sincce 1999 Dr. Nida Chenagtsang had been held in high acclaim for his teaching and research, both in Asia and the west. Dr. Nida Chenagtsang is co-founder of Ngak Mang Institute - for the preservation of Tibetan Ngakpa culture - and Director of the International Academy

The International Academy for Traditional Tibetan Medicine (IATTM) was established in 2006 in order to ensure the integrity and authenticity of Traditional Tibetan Medicine (TTM) teachings and to keep this spirit alive and functioning effectively in the modern world.
The IATTM organises international training courses taught by Dr. Nida Chenagtsang and other qualified instructors.
Courses are held in Europe, Russia and Australia, as well as the USA and Canada.
The IATTM holds special courses in collaboration with the Qinghai Traditional Tibetan Medicine Hospital and the Qinghai Medical University's Traditional Tibetan Medicine College, Xining, as well as the Henan Traditional Tibetan Medicine Hospital, in Amdo, Tibet (China). |
